Windows 7 hype is beginning to gain momentum as we move away from Vista and head closer towards the next version of Windows operating system by Microsoft.
We already have the official Win 7 blog to keep us updated with all Windows 7 news and we have also managed to get our hands on some of the leaked screenshots of Windows 7 that confirm a lot of new and upcoming features.
These screenshots exhibit the Windows 7 Milestone 3 (M3) build and are 100% authentic, unliked the Windows 7 Screens we posted earlier.
This is the new window for Display Settings which we will hopefully see in Windows 7. As you can see, it is more well organized and gives you a new option to select your screen orientation.

This is the new Calculator in Windows 7. I am pleased that Microsoft decided to revamp its look as the old Calculator looks too ancient.
The sidebar gadgets gallery in Windows 7 will most probably be the same as the one in Vista with only minor changes in functionality.
The ‘Application-specific Aero Theme’ in Windows 7 is one of the most unique features yet to come. It will allow users to select a specific theme for a particular application.
Better options for games allows the user to automatically or manually update all game settings and download information about particular games from the web.
Microsoft Windows Paint now comes with Ribbon UI just like in Microsoft Office 2007. As the Microsoft developers say, the new Paint is somewhat a cross between the native Paint application in Windows and Paint.NET
WordPad has also got a Ribbon UI in Windows 7 along with Paint.

Windows Media Player has got a new and better minimized mode.
The new Windows Solution Center keeps you informed about all the tasks that require urgent attention such as security, updates etc and also suggests solutions to problems.
Thats all for now! from what we knowso far , it can be assumed that UAC in Windows 7 won’t be as annoying as it is in Vista (thats a very good sign!). High five to ThinkNext for sharing all this.

We will be able to know more about Windows 7 in October in PDC and all attendees will get the first build of Windows 7.
=O Paint looks awesome.. btw, windows 7 isn’t going to be opensource either now is it?
Looks like vista, but worse.
Looks like a replication of the deplorable Vista OS … I wish MS would stop thinking solely about aesthetics and start thinking about computing power.
@ Ibrahim
Microsoft would never open source their operating system. it took them years to open up the office document formatting.
Doesn’t look much different from vista. Add something like bump top and I will be impressed
looks like freaking vista with a service pack… c’mon you fools. lol vista is awesome though, i love it. not gunna lie
That looks exactly like vista, seriously, you sure this is windows 7 not vista sp2 beta or some shit ?
You guys complain that it “looks like Vista” and that Microsoft should shy away from aesthetics and focus more on computing power, but… that may be exactly what they’re doing. Leaving Vista’s aesthetics as they are and focusing on the actual -computing- until later, when they can revamp the aesthetics should they choose to.
Maybe they’re just giving it the Vista flair because they wanted a visual base to work with, y’know? It’s still a long, long ways from completion. Who’s going to waste time developing a new visual style -first- before going through and completely redesigning the core components?
At this point, I can’t say whether Windows 7 will be worth its salt at all, but it’s too early to say whether it will -look- much different.
Either way, if you ask me, Vista does look nice — hence why I’m using the Vista theme with my XP. I see no fault in using it as a visual baseline while they further develop and improve the core OS.
SSDM (Same Sh*t Different Makeup)!
Ho Ho ho!
Is this the Windows 7 that will convince us all to move over finally?
This looks like it’s just doing exactly the same thing again, moving things around, making stupid big bold icons for idiots, removing menu items.
Microsoft, some of your users are actually computer literate and have been using PC’s for a very long time. We do not want an operating system that patronises us, we want power and functions with immense customisability.
Vista feels like it has removed some of the power compared to XP.
Pfft. Microsoft always does this, and the Windows fanboys always eat it up.
Here’s a lesson we Linux users can teach you Windows users: If you can’t actually verify that the change is being made, it’s not being made, especially since all Vista is is just a bloated version of Windows XP with rushed visual effects tagged on.
Hope .. at least this time..it’ll improve in memory consumption … not just UI changes ..
