Windows 7 übertreibung fängt an, Momentum zu gewinnen, während wir weg von Vista umziehen und nahe in Richtung zur folgenden Version Windows des Betriebssystems durch Microsoft vorangehen.

    Microsoft would never open source their operating system. it took them years to open up the office document formatting.

    You guys complain that it "looks like Vista" and that Microsoft should shy away from aesthetics and focus more on computing power, but... that may be exactly what they're doing. Leaving Vista's aesthetics as they are and focusing on the actual -computing- until later, when they can revamp the aesthetics should they choose to.

    Maybe they're just giving it the Vista flair because they wanted a visual base to work with, y'know? It's still a long, long ways from completion. Who's going to waste time developing a new visual style -first- before going through and completely redesigning the core components?

    At this point, I can't say whether Windows 7 will be worth its salt at all, but it's too early to say whether it will -look- much different.

    Either way, if you ask me, Vista does look nice -- hence why I'm using the Vista theme with my XP. I see no fault in using it as a visual baseline while they further develop and improve the core OS.

    Is this the Windows 7 that will convince us all to move over finally?

    This looks like it's just doing exactly the same thing again, moving things around, making stupid big bold icons for idiots, removing menu items.

    Microsoft, some of your users are actually computer literate and have been using PC's for a very long time. We do not want an operating system that patronises us, we want power and functions with immense customisability.


    Vista feels like it has removed some of the power compared to XP.

    Pfft. Microsoft always does this, and the Windows fanboys always eat it up.

    Here's a lesson we Linux users can teach you Windows users: If you can't actually verify that the change is being made, it's not being made, especially since all Vista is is just a bloated version of Windows XP with rushed visual effects tagged on.
