Make Gmail more fun with new Emoticons

Gmail has always been my first love. Today, Gmail Labs has rolled out a new feature called technicolor emoticons which allows users to add smileys and emoticons to their messages and emails. They should have probably added this long ago but the good thing is that they finally did it.

Now you don't have to use raw text emoticons because some people could not even judge what they are. You can also use the Gmail Chat emoticons in your email. Take a look at them.

It's always a fun to use new Gmail features. Have fun and enjoy them. Also

    I really like the new Gmail emoticons - especially the hug! However, is there a way to access all of these in Gchat? As far as I know, a lot of them are available in Gmail, but not in chat. For example, what if I want to give a hug to someone in real time? Do I have to send them an email w/ the hug emoticon and tell the other person to check their inbox?

    Oh and finally, what made you decide to change the "\m/" from a rock-on symbol to a radio in the new Gchat smiley scheme? Don't get me wrong - I like the radio! It just seemed inconsistent that the shortcut for all of the other emoticons seem to generate the same picture, just in different versions.
