Everyone seems to be loving the new release of Ubuntu ie Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex which launched yesterday. Ognuno sembra essere amare la nuova release di Ubuntu ad esempio Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex che ha lanciato ieri.

It is a lot more secure and stable as compared to previous releases of Ubuntu. E 'molto più sicuro e stabile rispetto alle precedenti release di Ubuntu. What I personally liked so far is the new 'Carry on a USB' feature which lets you download and install Ubuntu via a USB flash drive instead of burning it to a CD. Here I have a little tutorial on how to install Ubuntu 8.10 via USB Flash Drive. Qui ho un piccolo tutorial su come installare Ubuntu 8.10 tramite USB Flash Drive. I used the same tutorial to install Ubuntu on my Acer laptop without writing or burning it to a CD. If everything goes well, you should now be able to test the LiveCD version of Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex and even install it. I wouldn't say that...I haven't upgraded yet because, if you check the Ubuntu Forums, you will see that for many people this release broke their entire ubuntu installation and they can't even get a graphical GUI now. Non direi che ... non ho aggiornato ancora, perché, se si seleziona il forum di Ubuntu, vedrete che per molte persone questa versione ha rotto tutta la loro installazione di Ubuntu e non possono nemmeno avere una grafica GUI ora.

    So backup and be prepared before updating to this new version... Così il backup e devono essere pronti prima di aggiornare a questa nuova versione ...

    Well, I had a look at the tutorials on Beh, ho dato uno sguardo al tutorial su http://www.pendrivelinux.com/ http://www.pendrivelinux.com/ and they seem to aim at installing Ubuntu *ON* a USB stick, rather than *FROM* it. e sembrano puntare a installare Ubuntu * ON * una chiavetta USB, piuttosto che * FROM * it.

    Of course, the Live Desktop CD also lets you install the system onto a HDD, but the Alternate ISO is not for a Live CD, I just need it to install Kubuntu onto an encrypted HDD. Naturalmente, il Live Desktop CD permette inoltre di installare il sistema su un disco fisso, ma la ISO alternativo non è per un Live CD, ho solo bisogno di installare Kubuntu su un disco fisso crittografato.
