I just got my Iphone 2g That was unlocked and jailbroken…It got connected to a lap top and updated to OS 3.0…How can i bring it back the 2.2 version or unlock this phone again…I just bought this and shouldn’t charge in to a lap top…stupid!!

I have a question. I have an unlock jailbroken Iphone with fw ver 2.1 that I use with T-mobile. If i follow these steps, will it update it to the fw ver2.2 and still allow me to use my Iphone with T-mobile?

Hi,
I just replaced my old iPhone for a new iPhone 2G. I have not activated the phone yet. Can I directly use your method and unlock/activate my phone or shoudl I first activate it using an legit At&T sim and then use this method?

Thanks very much. Worked beautifully and am delighted that I am able to access the AppStore. The upgrade process did have a couple of hairy moments. I hope others find these comments useful:
1. I use a Mac and had some difficulty unzipping a .rar file. Finally used Stuffit Expander found on cnet.com downloads free, worked great.

2. The .rar expand kept “hanging” even after using Stuffit. It was not obvious but the expander was looking for Part 2 and Part 3 of the zipped file. Users need to download all three parts from the 3 links above, store in the same folder and then run Stuffit Expander. The Expander unzips the file to the same folder as the zipped files.

3. After unzipping the file, if using a Mac, use the Alt/Option Key instead of Shift when doing the Restore.

4. After the upgrade and verification, my phone (which was originally running ver 1.14 unlocked version) seemed to “hang”. I just saw the white Apple logo on a black background and nothing seemed to happen. I unplugged the phone from the cable and reconnected it and everything seemed to revert to normal again

Please I have question…but English its not so good but I will try to explain…

I have an iPhone unlocked but I did an upgrade to a new version, so now the iPhone is locked…I can only use the AT&T Sim card…but I have another operator!

What should I do to unlock again?…Please help me!

I am not sure about this. You should check your online contacts account with which you used to synchronize your iPhone contacts (if any).

If you are lucky, you will get all your contacts back.

Good information…I downloaded it from iTunes and locked my iPhone…then I used another website and now my iPhone is in recovery mode…I tried a lot of stuff to take it out of recovery to normal mode but its not working…

It works, its easy and fast….but I did something stupid…I didn’t made a backup of my contacts, do you know if there is anything I can do to get them back?

Please tell me how, I know it was really stupid, but I also know there are some of you guys who know just how to save us from that kind of problems…

? How is it possible to download 3 seperate files, then extract them and then only have 1 file. Makes no sense. How to you get 3 different files into 1 file?

Actually when do extract the files, they have the same name, so you either stop or replace the file you just extracted.

This must be a scam.
