Auto-Refresh Twitter with Twitter Gadget

twitter-gadget-login-ssTwitter users normally have to refresh the page to see new replies which sometimes becomes boring. Introducing, TwitterGadget, a tool with its own interface where you can login with your twitter account and set a time limit which automatically refreshes your twitter. It has a clean and simple interface and you don't have to install any third party applications to work with it.

It also gives you the ability to monitor your twitter status through your iGoogle homepage which can be enabled using Gmail Labs. It automatically detects when you have inserted the gadget in your google account and reveals a small footprint version. You can also visit this link to activate TwitterGadget on your iGoogle homepage.

With TwitterGadget, you can set the refresh intervals from 3 to 30 mintues, toggle on/off thumbnails, timestamps, post sources etc.  You can also Insert symbols, dingbats and emoticons into your tweets using the pulldown menu. You'll see the arrow button on the bottom left hand corner.

Use TwitterGadget via iGoogle
Use TwitterGadget in your Browser

  • Opera users can simply use the "reload every" options to refresh the page after a specified interval.
  • I still prefer using Firefox 3 for quite a lot of reasons as compared to Opera, Chrome, IE or Safari so perhaps this will be useful for those who don't use Opera.
  • Agree with Dj, Majority of people use Firefox.
  • Firefox users can use Reload Every extension...

  • I think I'll stick to twitterfox only. Btw, Thanks Sumesh for sharing that plugin. :)
