There are so many of us who spend their time fixing family member's PC on Thanksgiving or may be Christmas Eve. Helping them getting rid of unwanted software and viruses on phone can be really annoying because it's just not easy for them to understand it sometimes.
If you deal with such problems you can check out this useful software that allows you to display the screen of another computer on your own using internet connection or local area network.
UltraVNC allows you to easily access other PC's remotely with the help of your mouse and keyboard. It means that you can work on a remote computer as if you were sitting right in front of it.
UltraVNC supports a number of advanced features making it unique among the various flavors of VNC. A special graphics mirror driver for ultrafast remote controlling, integration of Windows authentication and various encryption plugins provide superior functionality.
It can also be really helpful for the companies who are into customer support services. They can easily access customer's computer from anywhere in the world and help them solve issues remotely. With add-ons like SingleClick your customers don't even have to pre-install software or execute complex procedures to get remote helpdesk support.

We use VNC for our remote support in France. Works a treat. One added bonus is that the “Remote Desktop Viewer” software that ships as standard with Ubuntu is compatible.
A feature of VNC I’ve found very useful is the file transfer. Ideal if you need to get data or a patch to/from a machine you’re connected to.
UltraVNC is good for people with Good internet connections people here in Pakistan have a crappy internet connection so its difficult to use it here
The VNC protocol can also be tunneled through SSH (Secure SHell) to improve security.
Ultra Vnc Is really A great piece for an administrator. Previously I used That now Giving a try to Team Viewer.
I am using “Logmein” and its also free…and there is no need of anyother installation…so why we use your suggested software…
Please give some comparison or difference…
Thanks.
I haven’t really tried or even heard of “LogMein” but I’ll give it a shot…thanks for mentioning
I have tried a lot of remote software. I found UltraVLC, Logmein and many of the other well known software’s to be a lot harder to user, although claiming they where much easier.
I run an online radio station and many of my presenters have had problems setting up Sam Broadcaster. In the past I didn’t have a complete guide for SAM and found it hard to instruct them. A lot of the remote software I tried including UltraVNC and LogMein, didn’t work too good and I couldn’t connect to many of the presenters even with their firewalls down.
However I discovered TeamViewer. A small and easy to use remote application. You can install it as both a program or a service. Once my presenters had this small software on their PC, which was quick and easy for them to install and set up, I had no problem connecting, even with those who had a Firewall up. You need to know the IP the user gets from the software and he’s predefined password, for security reasons. It also comes with a file transfer system. I also believe that when installed as a service, you can reboot computers using the software.
