One such feature is the Desktop Preview which allows users to temporarily minimize open windows by hovering the mouse on the far-end of the taskbar. Una di queste funzionalità è l'anteprima del desktop che permette agli utenti di ridurre temporaneamente le finestre aperte facendo passare il mouse sul far-end della barra delle applicazioni. This allows them to take a sneak-preview of the desktop without forcefully minimizing all open windows. Ciò permette loro di prendere una sneak-preview del desktop con forza, senza minimizzare tutte le finestre aperte.

The reason I find this feature helpful is because at times you need to quickly view your desktop (eg to check for a file that you have recently downloaded etc) and this feature allows you to do so without minimizing all open windows. Some users might find this feature annoying as most old-school users would still prefer to fully switch to Desktop instead of just taking a preview. Just right click on the far-end of the taskbar in Windows 7 and uncheck 'Preview Desktop' which should be checked by default.
