Oh, and to respond to Mark. I have a friend who worked as a developer on the first iPhone. There is no way that anyone who does anything more than fabricate parts is going to leak any photos like this. Apple is very, very tight lipped on these things. This is most likely the back plating piece for the new iPhone.

The iPhone is manufactured in China. We know the 3rd gen iPhone should be released sometime this June. I have worked in the wireless industry for quite some time, and at this point Apple has to be running test engineering versions of the devices, and they are probably putting these together in their shop in China... sooooo, decent chance we have a legit source.

Who needs grip on iPhone, iPhone is always in a Handle with care category. If some one is trying to use iPhone in a hurry, nothing will happen on screen... try dialing a number, or unlocking the iPhone with some speed... Two things may happen

1. Software can become panic
2. Never respond to fast user interactions.

If you want to make an emergency call or SOS, it will not work on iPhone, that is the only thing I hate with iPhone, and the Plastic thing in current 3G thing.
