Apple denies all Netbook rumors

If there is one thing that Apple users were anticipating the most this year, its the Apple Netbook.

Until now, we have read and witnessed a lot of gossip on whether or not Apple is planning to release a Netbook in summer this year but a recent statement made by Tim Cook (COO at Apple) might bring an end to all our excitement and anticipation.

In response to a question asked about a possible Mac Netbook in the making, Tim replied in a total indifferent manner, saying:

As it exists today, we’re not interested in nor would it be something customers would be interested in the long term

Referring to the Netbooks currently available in the markets.

The statement brings up the debate to a pretty solid conclusion that Apple is so-far not interested in making any sort of Netbooks but it still doesn't bring an end to all those rumors we have about the Apple Tablet.

Perhaps an iTablet is all what we are waiting for this year.

  • I agree actually, if not a netbook, they could probably be coming up with a tablet, since they were heard to be ordering 10 inch touch screens.
  • The idea of a tablet could be possible but it seems kinda vague to me. pointing the cursor for selection will be extremely fast, but data entry through a virtual keyboard could be obnoxiously annoying.
oh, the thoughts of working with numb fingers makes it even more uncomfortable!
  • iPhone users don't seem to mind that :)
