Microsoft Ad attempts to make iTunes look bad

A known fact is that Microsoft has never managed to make an ad that would market its products and services and promote them through a fair punch.

In most cases Microsoft would simply focus on advertising PC hardware which is made by third-party vendors such as Dell or HP and instead of marketing their own Windows OS.

The 'Laptop Hunters' ad campaign makes quite a good example of the poor-marketing strategies by Microsoft and a new Zune ad is here to join the bandwagon too.

According to this new Zune ad by Microsoft, it costs $30,000 to fill an iPod with 120GB of storage whereas the Zune Pass costs you a mere $14.99 because it's a subscription based service.

But based on the math by Ars Technica, it would take 166 years and 8 months to end up paying $30,000 going via the Zune Pass route.

Although the Zune Pass service has its own pros as compared to the iTunes business model but the idea that Microsoft is trying to advertise its services by making Apple look bad is not only retarded but also quite ridiculous.
