thanks it works perfectly, and instead of hjsplit, i suggest that you use winrar. it works way better

Thank you, it worked for me, just follow the instructions, use RAR also worked for putting three files into one.

To clear things up for people;
1. Download all three files under your generation to a folder.
2. (for windows) download WinRar.
3. Right click the first file, and press extract. (there will be a plain folder)
4. Now plug in your ipod, and open itunes.
5. click your device.
6. For me, I shift+clicked UPDATE.
7. click the folder you saved ALL the files in.
8. The folder you extracted will pop up.
9. Open that folder, and there will be ONE file.
10. That file will run the update.

I don't think you need to download ALL the files, but I chose to. To speed the process up, you might want to try this process, only downloading the first one.

OH, and before you try the update, on itunes, press File>transfer purchases from "device name here", to back everything up.

I've done everything that was said,
but when i click restore, and then on the extracted firmare,
it says; the ipod could not be restored, because the firmware file is not compatible.
