  • The steps are VERY unclear. Fremgangsmåten er svært uklare.

    Main Question: How will iTunes detect where I have those files I d/l from RapidShare? Main Spørsmål: Hvordan vil iTunes oppdager hvor jeg har disse filene jeg d / l fra RapidShare? It all seems fishy. Det hele virker fishy.

    You're supposed to download from all 3 links into a folder (if you don't have Rapidshare, you'll have to wait 15 min. btwn downloading). Du skal laste ned fra alle 3 koblinger i en mappe (hvis du ikke har Rapidshare, du må vente 15 min. Btwn nedlasting). You then extract just one of them to the same folder and it will use all 3 file for extraction. Du kan deretter pakke ut bare én av dem til samme mappe, og den vil bruke alle 3 fil for utvinning. Open iTunes and hold Shift while clicking Resore and then click the file that has been extracted. Åpne iTunes og hold nede Shift mens du klikker Resore og deretter filen som er blitt hentet.     i had no problems with the steps... Jeg hadde ingen problemer med trinnene ... everything was perfectly clear to me. alt var helt klart for meg. Works just fine =) Fungerer helt fint =)

    well it didnt work for me it said it wasnt compatible. vel den gjorde ikke arbeide for meg den sa den var ikke kompatibel. i downloaded bot te one for the 1G and the 2G and neither workd for me and i have already deleted the one for the 1G Jeg lastet ned bot te en for 1G og 2G og verken workd for meg og jeg har allerede slettet en for 1G

    put all the downloaded files in folder and extract one of the file using winrar. stiller alle nedlastede filer i mappen og trekke ut en av filen med winrar. then you will find one new sofware update file.then go to itunes press restore while holding shift and select the extracted file. da vil du finne en ny programvareoppdatering file.then gå til itunes trykk gjenopprette mens du holder skift og velg den utpakkede filen.

    Thank you!! Takk! I've got a 1st generation Touch and wasnt gonna pay £6 for an update that hardly changes much for my ipod. Jeg har en 1. generasjon Touch and wasnt skal betale £ 6 for en oppdatering som neppe endres mye for min iPod.

    Just make sure the 3.0 firmware you've downloaded and re-joined finishes with .ipsw and it should work perferctly for you too. Bare sørg for at 3.0 firmware du har lastet ned og igjen ble ferdig med. Ipsw og den burde arbeide perferctly for deg også.

    you guys do things way to complicated. dere gjør ting måten å komplisert. when you download it, just choose save as and save as an ipsw file... når du laster den ned, bare velg Lagre som og lagre som en ipsw fil ... way easier, no joining. måten lettere, ikke bli med. THAT is simple computor skills. Som er enkel computor ferdigheter.

    The only restore I can find is if I right click on the device name and select "Restore from Backup..." Den eneste gjenopprette jeg kan finne er hvis jeg høyreklikker på enheten navn og velg "Gjenopprett fra sikkerhetskopi ..." and then it brings up a menu that I can only select my ipod name and it says this will not restore ipod firmware. og så kommer det opp en meny som jeg kan bare velge iPod-navnet og det står at dette ikke vil gjenopprette ipod firmware.
    So where is the restore button that lets me pick the new firmware? Så hvor er restaurere knapp som lar meg velge ny firmware?

    @ Jed, had the same problem searching for it but i found it. @ Jed hadde det samme problemet etter det, men jeg fant det.

    After connecting your iTouch to your computer and opening itunes, click on your iTouch icon, then when a screen that says "would you like to purchase the 3.0 firmware for $9.99", just press "no thanks" or "remind me later". Når du har koblet iTouch til datamaskinen og åpne iTunes, klikk på iTouch ikon, så når en skjerm som sier "ønsker du å kjøpe 3.0 firmware for $ 9.99", trykker du bare "nei takk" eller "minner meg senere". Then it should automatically go on the "summary" tab. Så skal automatisk gå på "summary"-fanen. Shaded in a gray should be the VERSION box, and under the "Update" button, you'll find the "Restore" button. Skyggelagt i en grå bør være VERSJON boksen, og under "Oppdater"-knappen, finner du "Gjenopprett"-knappen.

    Hope that helps, all the other people above never bothered answering this simple question. Håper det hjelper, alle de andre ovenfor aldri gidder å svare på dette enkle spørsmålet. Haha Haha
