Facebook app for Zune HD now available

Finally! in the growing list of  mobile OS and devices that Facebook supports, the Zune HD has been officially added too. The Facebook app can be downloaded on the Zune HD through the App section in the market place, and for free.

For now, there are only a couple of features added to the app but it still seems to pretty buggy. The most interesting feature of all is the integration of Zune.net into status updates which can automatically update your status with the song you are listening to, along with it’s information on Zune.net.

The UI itself is one of the other interesting bits as it can be seen that the app uses large font for headings, instead of tabs, keeping in tone with the metro UI announced for the Windows Phone 7 Series recently.

Apart from that, you can view the news feed, view your complete friends list and view other people’s profiles along with their wall, photos and info. The ability of send/receive messages is not available for now but will soon be added through an app update.
