The good news for all the would-be iPad owners out there is that they will (hopefully?) be able to Jailbreak the device as soon as they unbox it and scrap off the transparent wrapping, thanks to GreenPois0n.
GreenPois0n, which is said to Jailbreak the iPad OS, is a tool being developed by Joshua Hill also known as Posixninja. Now we already know that the 'iPad Jailbreak' is a very controversial topic but reason why it is being believed that GreenPois0n Jailbreak for iPad is real (and not another Fake) is because Posixninja happens to be a member of the Chronic Dev Team which have been working for long on a tether-free tool to Jailbreak the iPhone on new firmware.
On the other hand, there seems to be some ambiguity as the iPhone Dev Team hasn't made a public announcement on whether they are working on the iPad Jailbreak or not, and also have not even commented on the status of Posixninja's work. But as the iPad OS is almost same to that of iPhone, there is a chance that the tool being developed by Posixninja is actually authentic. [via Blogsdna]
