The iPad is only a week away from it's official launch and it seems that Apple has already started to push iPad apps to the iTunes App Store, labelled as HD and XL.

This was first discovered by the folks over at PadGadget who seem to have found some apps on the web-based iTunes App Store that were labelled with the HD moniker and rumor has it that HD will be the preferred nomenclature for apps that were specifically made for the iPad.
Plants Vs. Zombies HD, Flight Control HD, Labyrinth 2 HD, Zen Bound HD and Worms HD are some of the apps that have been approved by Apple for the iPad and have already made it to the App Store. On clicking on these apps, they fail to be processed by iTunes instead delivering an error message, "they're not yet available in the U.S." which indicates that Apple doesn't want people to get a sneak-preview of the apps before time.
The pseudo HD apps will only be available for users on the iPad on it's launch and will provide a full-screen experience rather upscaled.
