Korean mobile maker, Samsung has unveiled its latest edition in the smartphone family at the CTIA Wireless 2010 held in Las Vegas. The company has named its latest product, Samsung Galaxy S, which is told to be an Android-based handset while presenting a super large 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen. Samsung has not brought forward any specific date for the launch but hinted on hitting the market shelves really soon. This is the second device to be released by Samsung which such technology.

Here are the specifications: 4-inch AMOLED Touch Screen with 1 GHz Processor, 5-megapixel camera with video recording and auto focus. Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 (High Speed), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS for advanced, location based services. Apart from that we have the Layar Reality Browser, 8GB/16GB Internal memory, Memory card for upto 32GB additional storage, 1500 mAh Battery, Accelerometer, Proximity, Light Sensors, Digital Compass, SMS, MMS, Email, Video Messaging and Exchange ActiveSync.
The company has not announced any official price but insiders report that the phone will be launch somewhere around $400.
