At last, the wait for Motorola Milestone owners has come to an end. You guessed it - Motorola has finally decided to roll out the Android 2.1 update for the UK users.
Currently the sensational firmware update is only available as a direct download from Motorola's official site. OTA updates will be rolled out in the next few days.
Here is a snapshot of what Milestone users will be getting from the Android 2.1 update: Speech to Text (English Only), Animated Wallpapers aka Live Wallpapers, Homescreens upto 9, Facebook App And Widget, Google Maps with autocomplete feature. Battery life and other enhancements.
