Talking about leaked prototypes and other such stuff the very first name which comes to our minds is Apple. But Apple is not the only company which is having trouble in this matter as Microsoft also joins this party with leaked Windows Phone 7 documentation.

Almost a month ago we stumbled upon an "Architectural Guide of Windows Phone 7" released by Tweakers.net. Though we were unable to collect more data on it but now we have actual PDF manuals which can be downloaded. These manuals are unveiled by HTCPedia.com

Windows Phone 7 gives us alot of features to coustomize the user experience and user interface better than what we have provdided by Windows Phone 6.0x OEMs.

Let us see what we have new in Windows Phone 7 guided by these PDF documentation.

  • Connection to the Internet is necessary for the very first time to activate it. After agreeing to the License and other terms and conditions it will ask you for the integration of Windows Live ID with it. You can not get away from this step.
  • Windows Phone 7 will be supported by Applications which will be given in an extension named XAP.
  • Windows Phone 7 will be supported by Direct 3D 11 and support for OpenGL ES is not there.
  • AutoFocus for video and GeoTag are also included in Windows Phone 7
  • A side Volume button might be supported in Windows Phone 7 as told by the PDF which explains architecture.
  • Another great thing is that it is expected to support External Storage as the architecture guide explains that the whole File System is a single unit.
  • Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR will be supported by Windows Phone 7.

The documents can be viewed and downloaded at the HTCPedia forum.
