Flash comes as ‘Frash’ for iOS on iPad

Adobe Flash may never see the light of the day on iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, the founder of Apple made that clear in the famous open-letter titled 'Thoughts on Flash'.

However, there are workarounds. One such Flash trick has been developed by @comex, the creator of Spirit jailbreak, that runs as a plugin in Mobile Safari on the iPad and the developer calls it 'Frash'.

Frash is nothing but a port of the recently released Flash plugin for Android devices and shall work in full performance on a jailbroken iPad (that's the only trade off). Unlike other workarounds, the results are pretty amazing and the output doesn't stutter at all.

It can be seen running in full action in the video above. For now, only the iPad is supported and there is no support for video playback or keyboard input.

The plugin will be released soon for the iPad as soon as the developer deems it stable. Full documentation on Frash can be found here.
