New iPod Touch 4 may feature Camera for FaceTime, HD Video

Last year, almost during the same month, there was so much speculation about Apple planning to launch an iPod Touch with camera later that year. Though Apple did include a camera but it was for the iPod Nano lineup and the iPod Touch family was left out.

This year, again, there seems to be some rumors that suggest that Apple might have plans to launch the new iPod Touch 4 with a front-facing and back camera to complement the two most known features of iPhone 4 i.e. FaceTime video calls and the HD video recording.

The prediction doesn’t only come as an observation of trend, rather a UK retailer named John Lewis has actually proposed a list of upcoming features for the new iPod Touch 4. His list outlines features such as front-camera for FaceTime calls over Wi-Fi, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with HD video capability and built-in flash, YouTube uploading, accelerometer, and gyroscope.

Hopefully! Apple will be refreshing its iPod Touch lineup by end of this year at a media event and who knows, Apple might even surprise us with a new body design for the iPod Touch 4 like the iPhone 4.
