Unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 4.0.1 with Ultrasn0w baseband 01.59.00

It's finally here. The much awaited unlock for the the iPhone 4 brought to you by the iPhone Dev Team. Ultras0w has been updated to support unlock for the new iPhone 4.

Unlocking the iPhone 4 would allow you to use the phone with any carrier in the world. This is definitely a big milestone for the dev team and the users. The unlock works with the userland jailbreak released by @comex a couple of days ago.

Follow the easy steps. Make sure to jailbreak your iPhone 4 by visiting Jailbreakme.com. Once jailbroken, find version 1.0-1 of ultrasn0w in Cydia and install it. That's it. This works iPhone 4 baseband 01.59.00 and 3G/3GS basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 and 05.13.04.

    wonder if it is pretty much the same as 3gs unlock ones~ , need to wait a bit before getting the 4 , so many problems i've heard ~ camera ~ receptions~~etc , yikes

    Please help I have iphone 4 with 4.0.2 baseband 01.59.00.
    used limera1n to jailbreak and Ultrasn0w 1.0-1 to unlock

    I’ve tried it several times but it’s not working. I keep losing the carrier after about 5-10 minutes, I can make calls in this time but after I lose unlock it shows single bar,
    I am not able to make calls. It’s not showing the carrier. (tmobile)

    I have to reboot he phone to use another 5-10 minutes than same story.
    MY unlock is not permanent, any idea how to fix this?

    Should I upgrade to 4.1 with using tiny umbrella in order to keep the baseband 01.59.00. and try to unlock and jailbreak again?
