In an effort to have more control over what links are being shared on Twitter, the company has launched it's own official Tweet Button which lets visitors on any website share the content link with just a click.
Today we’re launching the Tweet Button to make sharing simple. It lets you share links directly from the page you’re on. When you click on the Tweet Button, a Tweet box will appear -- pre-populated with a shortened link that points to the item that you’re sharing.
This is a good news for bloggers and web-masters since they no longer need to rely on third-party services such as topsy, bit.ly and tweetmeme to do the same.
The Tweet Button comes in three different flavors and is very easy to integrate into a blog or website, all it takes is a few lines of code. The cool new feature in the Tweet Button by Twitter is that it gives you suggestions for accounts to follow as soon you share a link.
