The latest piece of scuttlebutt in the CDMA/Verizon iPhone debate comes from AppleInsider. Now according to the latest reports, Qualcomm seems to be very much interested in hiring an iPhone Developer for a "secret" project.

For now the details of the project are vague but many seem to suggest that Qualcomm may be hiring a iPhone Developer to work on the baseband software for the upcoming CDMA-based iPhone which will hopefully be launched in partnership with Verizon this January.
It must be noted that Qualcomm happens to be the the leading manufacturer of CDMA radio chips and has previously provided CDMA radio chips for Android phones on Verizon so this news very much suggests that a CDMA-based iPhone may be on it's way to Verizon, for real.
Previously we have seen claims about iPhone 4 Coming to Verizon with Internal Antenna but none of the reports have been backed up by proper evidence. However, this Qualcomm story pretty much strengthens our belief.
In fact, it's high-time for Apple to end their iPhone exclusive carrier-deal with AT&T and move on. This shall mea more choice for the users and more exposure to the iPhone in the smartphone industry.
