Another milestone reached for one of the top performing browser in the market. Today, the most popular browser specially in the area of the smartphones announced along with computer maker Toshiba that the Android based tablet computer 'Folio 100' would come pre-loaded with Opera Mobile Browser. This means that Toshiba has made the choice and appointed Opera as the official browser for its upcoming tablet.
Marking the purchase of the tablet PC, the user would have complete freedom to choose from either a Opera Browser or the default Android Browser. But those who choose to make Opera as their default would experience the real advantage of what it has to offer.

According to a company announcement, the Android-base tablet PC would become available for purchase in Europe, the Middle East and Africa starting the fourth quarter of 2010.
Lars Boilsen CEO, Opera Software:
We are going to work continuously with Toshiba to keep improving the browser for tablet users. Tablets are attracting a lot of attention all over the world, and the market has become highly competitive. Having high-speed Internet functionality on devices is the key to offering a great user experience.
After evaluation, critics were of the view that the development was totally planned. As, the way the Opera browser adjusts with the Tablet is quiet surprising. Features and optimization techniques are well organized while the User Interface is perfect for the Folio 100.
The tablet users are provided with a full hands-on experience as to offer a full desktop-browsing experience to users and provides the same architecture as in the Opera Desktop browser.
Folio 100 is based on the Android with a NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC on a 10.1-inch touchscreen display delivering a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution with multi touch support.
