The moment which the Verizon user base has been waiting impatiently for has finally arrived. Verizon and Samsung in cooperation have announced the highly anticipated Samsung Fascinate.

If the phone name sounds a bit odd, you can always remember it as the Verizon variant of the highly popular Samsung Galaxy S. Besides announcing the sexy looking smartphone, the PR also shed light on the price and release date of the phone. Samsung Fascinate will come with a price tag of $199, that's after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
The phone just like its T-Mobile sibling Samsung Vibrant possesses the same classy look and feel with a candy bar like shape. Here is a quick look at the specs of the device which will be available for grabs online starting from 8th September:
- 1 Ghz Hummingbird processor.
- 5 MP camera.
- WiFi.
- Bluetooth 3.0.
- GPS.
- Android 2.1.
The phone will become pre-installed with Amazon’s Kindle for Android app which may or may not be useful depending on your need. Verizon is also offering a trio of accessories for the promising Android phone including car dock for Google Maps Navigation, a charging cradle and a secondary battery with a Y-split cable to charge both the main and secondary batteries at the same time.
