VideoLAN team proudly announced today that one of the most downloaded VLC Player will now be available on iPad. According to an official word from the company, the VLC Player is all ready to be made online at the Apple App Store. The application will start displaying somewhere around next week as all tests on the gadget have been completed, according to VideoLAN.
For quiet sometime the VLC Player app had been lying in Apple's yard of waiting for approval list. Now that the product has passed all restrictions and talks with Apple have been termed successful, the product will be made online on the store and would be available for free of charge to the users.

After several month of porting, we are proud to announce the release of VLC for the iPad! This application stands out for two reasons, First, it will be available for free on the AppStore. But that's not all. VLC is an OpenSource project.
