Today saw the Facebook folks holding a Gaming conference at their headquarters during which the social network announced their plans of changing the social gaming experience and making it less painful for those who are not into gaming.

You might ask why Facebook is investing heavily in the gaming department? We have got the answer - about 200 million users play games on Facebook every month. Another reason why Facebook is emphasizing on making the gaming facet of the social network less annoying has to do with this strange fact revealed by Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook CEO:
While they’re in the top five things that people like, they’re also in the top five things that people hate
Here are the changes that Facebook has made to the gaming department:
- Full stories in News Feed so they won't miss when a friend shares an action or needs help in a game. The more active a person is in a game, the more prominent the stories will be.
- Smarter bookmarks on the home page that will automatically appear and reorder based on the games they're playing. They will no longer need to individually bookmark apps, and it will be easier to get to favorite apps.
- A clearer, highlighted number for pending requests or tasks alongside bookmarks.
- Requests in the Games Dashboard, where they can manage all their game activity and discover new games.
