Look what Microsoft just did - it has unleashed its next iteration of revenue generating and highly popular Office suite for its competitor platform, Mac. Office 2011 for Mac is available for the owners of MacBook Air and other Mac machines and is probably the greatest and the most feature rich version to date.

Those Mac users who felt envious on seeing their Windows loving  friends using the feature rich Outlook can stop doing so as Office 2011 brings them their very own Outlook for the very first time.

Office 2011 for Mac is available in two editions:

  1. Home and Student 2011.
  2. Home and Business 2011.

Home and Student flavor of Office 2011 will cost you $109 for a single license and includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint. On the other hand, the Home Business edition price starts at $174 and includes Outlook as well in addition to the document writing, spreadsheet and slideshow creation software.

The other unique thing about the feature rich Office suite from Redmondians is that it is not restricted to your Mac laptop/computer, a fact which was nicely highlighted by Eric Wilfrid, general manager of Microsoft’s Office for Mac team:

Office isn’t just about what runs on a desktop machine or laptop. Office is an experience that shows up across your computer, on the Web browser, and on your mobile device.
