Well Well Well, look what we have here. US Cellular who has developed a knack of scoring big gadgets such as HTC Desire, Samsung Mesmerize, has gotten itself hosting rights for yet another big, 7 inch big gadget in Samsung Galaxy Tab. That's right folks US Cellular has announced its plans of playing host to the promising Android Tablet.
While the PR is as long and as detailed as one expects, it has an interesting aspect to it as it sees the Samsung Galaxy Tab slim and thin enough to fit in a pocket:
The Samsung Galaxy Tab is designed for people who want a premium mobile entertainment experience on the go, but don’t want to be weighed down by a bulky device. Weighing only 13 ounces and 12 millimeters thin, the Galaxy Tab fits conveniently in a pocket or purse.
Expect the Android based iPad competitor to become equipped with:
- 1 Ghz processor.
- 7 inch multi-touch screen.
- Built-in 2 GB internal memory with 16 GB pre-installed microSD™ expandable to 32 GB.
- Rear and front facing cameras.
- Android 2.2/Froyo enabled.
So what's missing here? Yes, you guessed it price plans and release date. Something tells me that the Tablet will go live in November and price tag will be competitive to say the least.
