iPhone 4 Sold Out In China

Earlier this week, Apple launched a simplified Chinese Apple Store, which undoubtedly was supposed to boost up Apple's sales in the country, and what a boost it got! within 10 hours of  launching the online retail store in China, Apple sold out all iPhone 4 units forcing sales into suspension.

The brick-and-mortar stores of Apple have already suspended sales of mobile phone products as well as all other products which were on sale normally, surprisingly enough, the online retail store dashes all hopes as there is currently no supply of iPhone 4 via the online store meaning that people can not buy the iPhone 4 currently in China, either offline or online.

Regarding this situation, the Sanlitun Apple Store staff said:

All mobile phones are now sold through the online store and customers must pay the money after the order is made, then the company will distribute it to the designated place for free

Along with the report, there were also claims that the CDMA iPhone should be available through China Telecom next year, then again this remains yet to be confirmed. China Unicom, the only telecom operator offering the iPhone 4 in China, says that the situation and availability of the iPhone 4 will hopefully improve after November.
