The much anticipated Android 2.2 Froyo running tablet from Samsung, the Galaxy Tab is now available in the United Kingdom, starting today as of November 1, 2010. The launch comes a good 10 days before the roll out of the device in the United States by T-Mobile, a carrier which is the first to offer the galaxy tab to consumers in the US. The tablet will be available with different price plans and contracts.

For prospective buyers in the UK, stores of electronic goods retailers and major carriers such as T-Mobile, Carphone Warehouse and Dixons Store Group will be offering the Galaxy Tab

This 7-inch tablet has a TFT-LCD display with 1024×600 pixel resolution. What’s powering this machine is a Cortex A8 1 GHz processor alongside 512 MB of RAM and with internal memory options ranging from 16 and 32 GB, which is again upgradeable via microSD memory cards. The Galaxy Tab sports a 3-megapixel camera at the back and a 1.3 mega-pixel camera at the front for video chats.

The tablet will be available with a range of price plans attached with contracts. The price will range from £99.99 and a £40 monthly plan with a two-year contract to a £499.99 and a £10 one-month Talk Mobile Plan at the Carphone Warehouse. Dixons Store Group, T-Mobile and other mobile carriers will be getting the Galaxy Tab today, as well.
