Rumor: Dell May Launch New Dual-Core Processor Boasting Latitude 2120 Netbook at CES

Dell has generally been a major player in the computer market and in these times of laptops and netbooks, Dell has been able to carve a niche, as the Latitude lineup has been pretty popular. Netbooks are usually used for single-tasking only because of the fact that they are nifty, small, light-weight and relatively under-powered machines.  However, that is about to change because rumor has it that Dell is going to launch a new netbook, Latitude 2120, later this week at CES in Las Vegas, which is said to boast a dual core Intel N550 processor.

The Dell Latitude 2120 is particularly supposed to be a business netbook whose prime feature is the dual core N550 processor, and apart from that, sources also claim that the new Latitude will also get an optional Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator.

The Latitude 2120 will be the follow-up to the Dell Latitude 2110, shown in the picture above, which is already available in the market and will have relatively similar specifications, with 3 and 6 cell battery options, a 10.1 inch display along with an optional touchscreen, RAM would be around 1 to 2GB, apart from the usual slew of peripheral ports, but then again, the highlight of this new netbook would indeed be the dual core processor.

As of now, there is no information regarding the price and availability of the Dell Latitude 2120, and those interested will have to wait till the official launch, hopefully at CES, in order to find out more about this new netbook.
