I wouldn’t be wrong when I say this – it’s raining Android Tablets in Las Vegas with Consumer Electronics Show providing the clouds. Motorola has announced its first Honeycomb Tablet and they are calling it Motorola XOOM.
The hardware features of the Tablet are impressive to say the least. The Honeycomb Tablet has a dual core 1 Ghz processor which means each core runs at the speed of 1 Ghz. It has a beautiful looking 10.1 inch display screen of HD quality. From the entertainment and social media side of things, the Tablet has a front facing 2 MP camera and a rear facing 5 MP camera with HD video recording capabilities. Moreover, it provides full 1080p HD support with HDMI-out port.
The Tablet will go live in the first quarter of 2011 with Verizon offering the carrier and subsidy duties. The Tablet will be getting an upgrade to the 4G network class and will become a 4G LTE/WiFi enabled Tablet in the 2nd quarter of 2011.
With so many Android Tablets scheduled to make an appearance in Las Vegas, one just wonders if this Tablet has what it takes to stand out of the crowd? What’s your verdict on this?
