It looks like notorious hacker Geohot was impressed with how the folks at Microsoft dealt with the Chevron WP7, which was a jailbreak/unlock team for the Windows Phone 7, so much so that Geohot decided to buy a Windows Phone 7. More details on that after the break.

Geohot updated his site today with a small message which said:
perhaps a more appropriate way to deal with jailbreakers I’m going out to buy a Windows 7 phone
In what seems to be a response to Geohot’s statement, just few hours later, Brandon Watson, who is the Director of Windows Phone 7 at Microsoft, tweeted an open message to Geohot saying:
#geohot if you want to build cool stuff on #wp7, send me email and the team will give you a phone - let dev creativity flourish #wp7dev
Looks like Microsoft has taken a softer approach towards hackers, and who knows what Geohot might come up with once he starts tinkering with his WP7 device, seems as if Microsoft wants to be a part of his creations. We shall definitely report as soon as an new updates regarding this come in.
