According to a recent discovery made by AppAdvice, iOS 4.3 is said to be bringing the ability to cancel an app download which is in progress. Apple has recently seeded iOS 4.3 Beta 3 to developers as well.

Imagine having started downloading an app only to find out that it was a huge file or that you didn’t want to download it at all, meaning that you would have to wait until it downloads completely, which would definitely be an excruciating wait, or wish for it to disappear after a reboot.

The feature is quite simple to use. All you have to do is enter the icon arrangement mode (“Wiggle mode”) as you normally do to delete an app. This time however, you’ll notice the ‘x’ appear over the currently downloading app as well. Just hit it, confirm and iOS will proceed to interrupt the download and delete the app

According to some reports, it is also being said that app cancellation is not the only feature, those who might have accidentally purchased an app and realized their mistake, if they cancel the download before it completes they would not be charged for it.
