9to5Mac seems to have posted photos of what is supposedly the new Apple iPad 2 LCD screen fresh out of China, with the help of iFixYouri iPhone 4 repair shop.
At this point, we cannot tell if the resolution is higher (or “Retina”) but it is definitely higher quality in terms of its build. The iPad 2′s display is also lighter, and over a mm thinner than the current iPad’s display with a smaller surrounding frame.
We’ve already seen many (read: a lot) of rumors floating around the internet concerning the much awaited Apple iPad 2. It has also been believed that the next iteration to Apple’s tablet may be getting a vibrating monitor. We’ve seen screenshots of the camera.app of the iPad 2 as well while it has been confirmed that the iPad 2 is to feature cameras similar to those on the iPod touch. The iconic Home button is also said to be disappearing on the iPad 2.
No specific details such as the resolution of these screens have been posted yet, however the slimmer design is in accordance with an analyst’s previous report which said that the iPad 2’s screen will be thinner and shall have an anti-reflective coating for better outdoor usage. The report also says that the iPad 2 won’t have a Retina Display as well, rumors regarding which have already be termed as fake.
Once again, we obviously have to wait until Apple comes out with official details to be absolutely sure about what the iPad 2 is going to be. Nevertheless a launch has been rumored to take place on either the first or second Saturday of April.
