Amidst the rumors of the new iPad 3, the hype surrounding the iPad 2 and especially the iPad 2 release has not died out. While we have not heard any official iPad 2 release date from Apple as yet, reports have indicated that Apple has started production of the iPad 2 and a release is imminent in the near future. However, according to Bloomberg, Apple may have delayed shipments of the iPad 2 from April to June due to production bottlenecks at Hon Hai. More on that, after the break.

The delay arose after Cupertino, California-based Apple made design changes before the Lunar New Year, according to a report by Vincent Chen and Alison Chen, analysts at Yuanta. Jill Tan, an Apple spokeswoman in Hong Kong, declined to comment on the report. Edmund Ding, a spokesman for Hon Hai, didn’t answer calls to his Taiwan and China mobile phones.
Our checks suggest new issues are being encountered with the new production and it is taking time to resolve them said Chen in the report As a number of Android 3.0 tablets are being launched in April and May, the delay in iPad 2 shipments may give the Android camp a brief window of opportunity
The Apple iPad 2 may definitely prove to be a win for the company as rumors indicate that the iPad 2 may feature a Light Peak connector, Apple's new high speed connection technology, dual-core processor & graphics & two cameras.
Stay tuned as we'll definitely report once we hear more about the iPad 2 release.
