According to a Macrumors report, Apple has reportedly informed retailers it has discontinued MobileMe Retail Boxes and it has also removed MobileMe from its online store. Whereas existing stocks of MobileMe will be sold until they last at the respective stores. Hit the break for more details.
The news comes following a previous report which indicated that Apple may roll out a fully revamped version of MobileMe, which will offer the service free of cost to all users.
It has also been speculated that Apple's revamped MobileMe could offer new social features from Facebook, Foursquare, and uStream. While rumors also indicate that Apple may use MobileMe as the brain of its cloud-based services.
However, Apple is still offering 60-day free trials of MobileMe, meaning that we may see a revamped MobileMe in two months. Fingers crossed!
