In about less than an hour, all official details about the iPad 2 will be revealed by Apple at the iPad 2 launch event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. However, we've got some last minute rumours for you. iLounge reports that the Apple iPad 2 will have a magnetic case lock. Details on that, after the break.

It was back in January when Apple seeded iOS 4.3 beta and in it, was found a reference to PAD_CASE_LOCK, which apparently is said to be a function that allows the iPad to automatically lock and unlock when you close the iPad cover. No matter how useful this particular feature may seem, the iPad does not have any hardware that could support this feature as of now.
Now, however, according to the report, the iPad 2 will be able to magnetically grasp the front flaps of the folio style iPad 2 cases, not only making it more elegant, but tipping the iOS as to when the flap would be closed, so as to automatically lock the screen.
This seems a pretty awesome feature and would definitely be much appreciated. Let's wait for the official announcement from Apple at the event in just about an hour.
