Even though the iPad 2 launch event is just merely an hour away from kicking off, the rumour mill does not stop churning, ever! Previously, we'd reported that Apple may surprise everyone with "near immediate" availability of the iPad 2 after the launch event. iLounge begs to differ, as it claims iPad 2 availability will start 2-4 weeks after the launch. Details, after the break.

The site claims that it has learnt from a "well-informed" source, which claims that iPad 2 availability could be as late as 2-4 weeks after the iPad 2 launch.

What's the reason for iPad 2 availability delay? Well it just might be production issues. Apple just doesn't have enough iPads to meet consumer demand, and looking at the purported delay timings, this would put the iPad 2 availability in the start of April, hey, wasn't that rumoured before too?

However, don't lose all hope, as we just might be able to pre-order an iPad 2 today, after it is officially announced.

Apple iPad 2 availability issues aside, here's how to watch the iPad 2 launch event.
