It seems that there is no stopping Angry Birds from reaching new heights. Rovio has announced to the world that their increasingly popular Angry Birds app for Android has reached a new milestone. The physics based game has been downloaded for more than 30 million times from the Android Market.

This sizzling bit of announcement came from Rovio's Peter Vesterbacka at the Game Developers Conference. Rovio Mobile's wing-slinging has been a hit ever since it landed on the App Store. And as it stands now it is making some serious progress in Google's App Store as well. Back in December, the app's download count stood at 5 million and look where it stands now. Amazing isn't it?
There is no denying that everyone loves freemium apps which describes why Angry Birds for Android is doing exceedingly well. Interestingly, the Android gaming universe are a generous lot, as the game developers are believed to be generating around 6 million dollars in Revenue and that too on a monthly basis. You do know that the free to download game comes with in-app advertisements.
