Ever since the original iPhone was launched way back in 2007, AT&T enjoyed absolute exclusivity in the US, with no other carrier offering the iPhone. Nevertheless, eventually, a much later model of the iPhone, the iPhone 4, came in CDMA flavour as the Verizon iPhone 4, making Verizon Wireless the first carrier to offer a CDMA iPhone 4. However, now SK Telecom of South Korea, has just announced that it is going to become the second carrier after Verizon, to offer a CDMA iPhone 4, starting March 16.

So Jin-Woo, President of Platform Business and Co-CEO of SK Telecom said:
"SK Telecom is proud to offer iPhone 4 on the nation's top network - Our customers will benefit from flexible tariff plans tailored to their unique usage needs along with a high level of customer care
If you're in South Korea and would like a CDMA iPhone 4, please note that pre-registration for the CDMA iPhone 4 on SK Telecom kicks off tomorrow. Much like Verizon ending AT&T exclusivity in the US, SK Telecom will also become the second carrier in South Korea to offer the iPhone, ending KT Telecom's iPhone exclusivity in South Korea.
A previous report also states that the CDMA iPhone may be making its way to more countries like China and India, further down the road. Let us how, and when that really happens.
