Firmware Fix For Flickering Issue Of New Macbook Pros Hooked Up With Apple Cinema Display Imminent

Apple released the new Macbook Pros and almost instantly people fell in love with it. However, do remember that there always are repercussions to being an early adopter of any new technology.  The technology in question here, is the all new I/O technology from Apple, called Thunderbolt. Some users have repeatedly claimed of random flicker on their 24 or 27-inch Apple Cinema Display, when it's hooked up with the new Macbook Pros.

What makes it more painful, is the fact that even replacement machines from Apple are said to be having the same random flicker issue, when hooked up to an Apple Cinema Display using the Mini DisplayPort / Thunderbolt port combo. While its being said that this issue isn't widespread, Apple's engineers are reportedly working on resolving this issue.

It looks like Apple will push out a firmware fix Thunderbolt random flickering bug. We'll be sure to let you know when that happens.
