We're been covering the rumored totally revamped MobileMe for quite sometime now. Many say that Apple is going to launch the new MobileMe in April, but that does not stop the rumor mill from churning. A report claims that the new MobileMe shall have a new feature dubbed "locker" and shall cost users $20 per year. Details after the break.

Apple is reportedly pushing hard to re-launch their new and improved MobileMe service this April, but what hasn’t been mentioned is that they’re pressuring major record labels to have all of the music licenses in place for the long rumored locker service planned for launch at the same time.

Informed sources say that Apple has sealed its deal with Warner and has been using that agreement to leverage the other labels to get the deals done in time for the April launch. The locker service will reportedly have somewhere around a $20 annual price tag.

Previously, there have been reports the new MobileMe would be all about your media in the cloud. Locker, as it is called for now, may be because of Apple's acquisition of Lala and the huge North Carolina data center, which may actually hint to one such service from Apple. Also, Apple has discontinued MobileMe retail boxes.
