We have been hearing from Lenovo of the two android tablets, lately; Lenovo Ideapad K1 tablet and Lenovo ThinkPad tablet. We have had much of these two tablets in the previous leaks but what we now have, are the official leaked press shots. There was no word on the release of Lenovo Thinkpad tablet but the Ideapad K1 was originally set for a July launch.

We already know that the IdeaPad K1 will be powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 2.1 GHz dual-core processor. A screen resolution of 1280 x 800 with a multi-touch display will be packed-in within a 10.1 inch screen. Additional features include a 5 megapixel rear facing camera, a 2 megapixel front facing camera and 32 Gb of expandable memory. As for the connectivity, sim card slot is a bonus with Bluetooth, Wifi and HDMI-out.

The Thinkpad tablet is expected to have similar specifications but it can't be assured as not much of its details have leaked. There is one thing that is confirmed, i.e. it has a stylus enabled touch screen and will also support a keyboard accessory that will make it act more like a laptop notebook. The tablets' launch can take place any day, these days.

We at Sizlopedia recently received the Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830, which is Samsung's entree level Android device.
Samsung Galaxy Ace In Terms Of Design:

The first time when you hold the Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 in your hands, believe me you will be surprised. The phone feels good, it actually feels pretty good when you get your hands on it. The Ace actually feels quite solid in the hand. It feels like a real solid phone and not something made out of cheap plastic, however bear in mind that the back cover of the Ace is a smudge magnet. Take it right out of the box and 5 minutes later see a plethora of your fingerprints on the back cover. The Samsung Galaxy Ace is quite easy to hold in the hand and it sits on your palm perfectly, hence if things tend to slip from between your fingers, i'm quite sure the Samsung Galaxy Ace wouldn't require much holding on to.

From the back, the Samsung Galaxy Ace is flat and the build quality is impressive. On the back, there's nothing else except the camera, LED flash, speaker and the Samsung logo.

The left side of the device has the volume rockers, and the right side has the Power button and microSD slot. Bear in mind that there is no dedicated camera shutter button on either side of the device, and the Galaxy Ace loses some serious points for this. Those who have a habit of pointing their cellphone cameras towards them and taking pictures will in no way be pleased with the Galaxy Ace. The top houses the 3.5 mm headset jack and the microUSB port with a sliding cover.

One thing that is noticeable here, is the striking resemblance of Galaxy Ace with the iPhone 4. The Ace has the same 3.5" screen and a similar silver bezel running around the device. The iconic Home button is accompanied by two capacitive buttons on the Ace, which add an element of difference between these two smartphones. Also, lets not forget that the Galaxy Ace does not have the all metal feel, of the iPhone 4.

Samsung Galaxy Ace In Terms Of Display:

The Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 comes equipped with a Gorilla Glass 3.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors and 320x480-pixel resolution. The screen is made of strong Gorilla Glass and supports multitouch gestures. Even though the screen is LCD and not at par with AMOLED screens that Samsung offers in its high-end Android devices, it is still pretty good. The first thing you'll notice about the display on the Galaxy Ace is that it is extremely responsive to your touch and that it feels good. Photos and videos look really nice on the display, and even games on this display don't seem half bad. However, if you're surfing a webpage with small text, you'll need to do some serious zooming in before that text becomes legible. Even under direct sunlight, the display holds out pretty remarkably.

For the sake of comparison, here is the Galaxy Ace in the midst of a fourth generation iPod touch with Retina Display and a BlackBerry Bold 9700 with a TFT screen. Both of these devices are about the same price as the Ace, and as you can see, the display on the Galaxy Ace can compete with them rather easily. Same level of brightness was set across each device. Rest assured, you will not be disappointed with the display on the Samsung Galaxy Ace.

Samsung Galaxy Ace In Terms Of Camera:

The Samsung Galaxy Ace touts a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. A camera of that sort is a norm in most of the smartphones out there on the market, so what sets the Galaxy Ace apart?

Well, if its not the non-existent dedicated shutter button that is setting the camera on the Ace apart, it has to be the overall performance of the camera. I, for one, loved the fact that you can chose and select various preset scenes, whereas you can also manually adjust metering modes, focus modes, exposure etc. All of the functions of the camera work perfectly, and the flash helps a lot while taking photos at night. Embedded below are few shots taken with the Galaxy Ace. Click on the image for full resolution photo.

Samsung Galaxy Ace In Terms Of Speed:

The Samsung Galaxy Ace has a 800 MHz ARM 11 processor running alongside 278MB of RAM. Yes, the Ace is relatively underpowered as compared to the other Android running devices Samsung has put out in the market, but that doesn't mean the Ace is not good in terms of speed. Native as well as downloaded apps run without any noticeable glitches or lags.

However, I wouldn't say that the Ace is a smartphone meant for gaming. It runs games, but not quite exactly up to the mark you would prefer. During the time I played around with the device, testing multiple apps and games, I didn't find the gaming environment that appealing. Bear in mind, however, that the Galaxy Ace is responsive and won't crash on you when you have too many apps running. The best thing to do would be to kill those apps running in the background which you no longer need. Hence allowing you to capitalize on more RAM.

Samsung Galaxy Ace In Terms Of Battery Life:

The Samsung Galaxy Ace has a 1350 mAh Li-Ion battery that holds up surprisingly well. The reason behind this might probably the relatively small and basic screen on the device. The review unit managed to go through two days of constant use, with Wi-Fi and GPS turned on. Needless to say, the battery on the Galaxy Ace is definitely awesome. Standby time is nearly 640 hours on 2G and 420 hours on 3G. The battery can provide an estimated talk time of 11 hours on 2G and 6 1/2 hours on 3G.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Conclusion:

For as long as I had my hands on the Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 I couldn't really deny saying the fact that this device is amazing at the cost it comes for. You've got the Android experience coupled with reasonably powerful hardware at an attractive price. What's there to not like? Though the striking resemblance to the iPhone 4 might put off some diehard Apple fans.

While reports are that Three UK may sell HTC Flyer starting Summer 2011, it was confirmed that Sprint is launching HTC Flyer in the US under the name of HTC Evo View, which is a 4G capable variant of the HTC Flyer tablet. Pocketnow has obtained some marketing material of T-Mobile, which shows that Sprint is not the only one that will offer the HTC tablet, T-Mobile is also going to offer the HTC Flyer tablet as well.

Looking at the promotional material above, it looks like T-Mobile is actually going to offer the 7-inch Android Gingerbread touting HTC tablet. This also seems legitimate because the AWS bands needed to carry T-Mobile USA's 3G data have been listed by HTC on the Flyer's tech specs sheet.

HTC Flyer has a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, 32GB internal memory, 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The HTC Flyer can also act as awireless hotspot for up to eight devices, meaning that eight devices will be able to share the internet connection that the HTC Flyer can create. A stylus pen is also shipped with the device itself.

No word on the price or availability as yet, but we expect that to be soon.

The HTC Flyer finally comes to the US. This 7-inch HTC tablet was previously revealed at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Sprint has just announced that it is going to be the first carrier in the US to get the HTC Evo View, which is the US version of the HTC Flyer tablet.

The difference between HTC Flyer and HTC Evo View?

Actually, the HTC Evo View is similar to the HTC Flyer except the fact that it has 4G capability and little cosmetic changes. Other than that, the HTC Evo View still has that 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, 32GB internal memory, 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The HTC Evo View can also act as a wireless hotspot for up to eight devices, meaning that eight devices will be able to share the internet connection that the HTC Evo View can create. A stylus pen is also shipped with the device itself.

It is interesting to note that the HTC Flyer runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and not the tablet optimized Android 3.0 Gingerbread. However, Sprint has announced that it plans to update the HTC Evo View to Android 3.0 Honeycomb once the device is actually released. So it is expected the Sprint will roll out the Honeycomb update for HTC Evo View following its sales day.

Price of the HTC Evo View

Sprint is yet to reveal the pricing details of HTC Evo View. We'll report once the prices are announced. A summer release is planned.

An anonymous source has dropped a gold coated email in Engadget's inbox by providing them with Three UK's roadmap for the Spring to Summer season. The leaked plans are nothing short of excitement as the UK based carrier has lined up some interesting smartphone and tablet launches for the month of summer which will do a world of good to 3 UK's revenue report.

Three UK will be launching not one but two tablets this summer. HTC Flyer will be the first of the two tablets to go live in May. WiFi version of BlackBerry Playbook will follow HTC's first ever Tablet in June.

3 UK will also launch a slew of Android smartphones which includes the Samsung Galaxy S II , Galaxy Pro, Sony Ericsson Arc and others. The surprise package of the whole roadmap has to be Galaxy S2 Mini, which can be termed as the smaller version of Galaxy S II if you ignore the screen size of this upcoming smartphone. I say compromise because Galaxy S2 Mini which may eventually be called Galaxy S II Mini has a 3.7 inch WVGA touch screen, will run on Gingerbread and has a 5 MP rear camera accompanied by a VGA camera on the front. Galaxy S2 Mini will hit 3 UK's retail stores in April.

If you think that the new Macbook Air was the highest mark at which laptops could get to in terms of being fast and thin, think again. It was at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that Samsung announced its new ultra-thin Series 9 laptops, and now, we've got the pictures and specs to share with you.

Samsung Series 9 notebook sure looks amazing. Regardless of the fact that Samsung Series 9 is faster and thinner, don't expect it to be cheaper than the Macbook Air. The cheapest Samsung Series 9 touts an Intel 1.4GHz Core i5-2537M processor, 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD is priced at $1649, which happens to be $50 more expensive than the top-of-the-line Macbook Air. A bit too much for a Windows notebook, no?

In April, Samsung will be shipping another iteration of the Series 9 line which is going to be an 11.1-inch ultrathin laptop powered by an Intel Core i3-380UM processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 64GB SSD. The price has not yet been revealed.

Does the Samsung Series 9 prove to be a strong competitor for the Macbook Air? Although, the fact remains that Mac lovers would obviously go for the Macbook Air, come what may, because there is a big difference between Windows and Mac OS X experience which usually serves as a judgement defining factor when buying notebooks.

What would you rather have? Sound off in the comments below.

Now, there's good news that the WiFi variant of Motorola Xoom is coming to seven retailers starting March 27 for a price of $599.

The seven retailers are: Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, RadioShack, Staples, Walmart, and certain locations of Sam's Club. These retailers will be selling Motorola Xoom WiFi both in-store and through their respective online stores.

Don't worry about any big changes in the device itself. The Motorola Xoom WiFi has all the same goodies, without a cellular modem as its essentially a WiFi variant.

On the other hand, the Apple iPad 2 was recently released and it looks like Motorola Xoom will strongly compete with it in the market. However, the fact remains that currently only three retailers are selling the iPad 2, that too in the US only, whereas the WiFi version of Motorola Xoom will be coming to seven different carriers on launch day itself. It seems like the launch will see a great number of sales, come March 27th.

It was only yesterday when we reported that Samsung was reconsidering Galaxy Tab 10.1 following the iPad 2 release, which obviously has got its competitors in the market worried. However, now according to a new report, as much as Samsung may be intimated by the Apple iPad 2, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 shipping will occur as scheduled. Hit the break for more details.

Previously, the information regarding the delay of Galaxy Tab 10.1 came from South Korea's Yonhap news agency, and now Samsung has told Yonhap news agency that the company will be releasing the Galaxy Tab 10.1 as previously scheduled.

Samsung Electronics Co., the world's second-largest maker of mobile phones, said on Saturday that it will release the latest generation of its tablet computer, the Galaxy Tab 10.1, as scheduled, denying speculations that it might postpone its release to make improvements.

So what this basically means is that Samsung wants it to be known that it is not intimated by the Apple iPad 2, and that it hopes to do just as well out in the market. However, for the record, let it be known that the iPad 2 is 2.1 millimeters thinner than the Galaxy Tab 10.1, apart from being, well, the Apple iPad 2 - the name sells.

So don't expect any major improvements or advancements in the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 once it officially comes out. We'll be there to let you know when that happens.

Meanwhile, if you're wondering how the iPad 2 matches up against the 7-inch Galaxy Tab, check out our detailed comparison of Apple iPad 2 vs Samsung Galaxy Tab.

People at Lenovo think it's time to compete the other manufacturers in the Tab-market. So, they are planning to launch the LePad worldwide, in June this year; but according to a company spokesman it will be launched in China first, in March.

Lenovo unveiled its first tablet computer, LePad in January at the consumer electronic show. The 10.1 inch tablet, that has a screen resolution of 1280 x 800, runs android 2.2 operating system and has a processor speed of 1.2 GHz; processor being the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. During the show, the company gave an estimated price of the device as $500 and the international sale of the LePad was not confirmed at all.

Well! It seems that the tablet war going on these days, has forced Lenovo to think over their previous decision of only-national sale. The officials at Lenovo have now decided to target the international market, though the markets to be targeted are not selected as yet.

Gartner research firm says that an increase of 181 percent, compared to the previous year, is expected as the shipments may cross a half billion mark in 2011. So, we just have to wait and see whether or not, this tablet competes successfully, with its opponents like Motorala Xoom and LG Optimus etc.

If you are a die hard fan of Windows Phone and have been following all the developments and news surrounding Microsoft's Glance and Go experience offering mobile phone OS, you would have noticed that Acer is yet to provide its share of Windows Phone 7 devices. Pocket-Lint caught up with an Acer spokesperson to get answer to an important question and got the information some have been waiting for to hear - Acer's first batch of Windows Phone handsets will be going live in September or October 2o11.

This launch period is very interesting as Microsoft is expected to roll out a major update for Windows Phone codenamed Mango in the same time frame. The update is highly liked to be called Windows Phone 7.5 and will bring interesting and productivity enhancing features such as HTML 5, IE9 and other exciting features.

If this rumor turns out to be true, this would make things really interesting as Nokia is expected to unleash their first ever Windows Phone 7 device during the same period. Considering the global reach and marketing power that the Finlanders possess, one just wonders if Acer would do better by releasing their handsets a bit earlier. Another thing to ponder over is this - Will Acer launch a single Windows Phone 7 model or will it have two or three models to kick off their Windows Phone OEM journey? Share your thoughts with us.

Well, while you'll have to wait until you get your hands on one, till then, when not check out the Motorola Xoom manual that just went live for download?

The Motorola Xoom manual is now available for download, thanks to droidlife.

Name a company and you'll see they are a tablet designer too. Someone's missing and who is that; any guesses? Yes! That is Sony, which being one of the major consumer electronics company, has just designed laptops in this field; no tablets. But only if we suppose that the rumors are true, then we should start waiting for something marvelous from Sony.

Baffled at what you can see above? Well! This is the interpreted design of S1, the honeycomb tablet that Sony plans to ship this September. With a size of 9.4 inches, this Honeycomb tablet has only 2 physical buttons; the volume button and the power button. With a screen resolution of 1280 x 800, it comes with Tegra 2 processor and USB as well. The built-in IR port allows control of, and connectivity to Bravia Tv and other devices too.

The most eye catching physical feature of the tablet is its curvy part. You may be wondering about the manufacturer's logic behind this weird looking design; this is actually the bottom side of the tablet. This curve is to ease your use of this table, especially when you need to do some typing. Another advantage is that when you hold it from this curvy side, it not only becomes easy to handle but also feels lighter as the center of gravity moves above.

The most alluring and must-to-be-mentioned feature is its both front facing and rear facing cameras. S1's WIFI-only version is planed to be shipped this September at a price of $599. But as mentioned earlier, it is just a rumor as yet, so you don't need to start any advance saving and budgeting for buying this 'rumored' tablet.

While buying a tablet, there are only two major things that one is concerned about; Portability and View-ability. Usually, there sizes vary between 7 inches and 10 inches. That means you can't have it all good because the smaller ones lack good visibility and resolution where as the larger ones are not handy at all; you need to use two hands (as you use while holding a PS3 controller) to hold it. Well! LG brings you the solution and relieves your headache by producing LG Optimus Pad.

LG Optimus is a "Easy to carry around" tablet that has a size of just 8.9 inches and weighs only 630 grams. With an aspect ratio of 15:9 and a WXGA resolution of 1280 x 786, this beauty measures only 149.9 mm along its horizontal axis. So, for those 70 percent people that, according to a study, are 'Portability seekers' the problem seems to have solved now. They now can get, both, the portability and good graphics simultaneously. Those 40 percent, who feel forced to carry large tablets wanting good viewability, can also get privileged by the handy size of this tablet.

Arriving at an 8.9-inch size was the result of careful research of the relatively new tablet scene, as well as technical magic by our talented engineers. The result is exactly what consumers have been looking for: an easily portable tablet with full viewability.

Powered by world's most powerful processor and having an unmatched processing speed, this tablet is a full 3D experience, that any tablet-lover would long for.

After its Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab, guess what Samsung is planning. Well! It seems that they have almost implemented what they were believed to have been planning after Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S. What we have now are the specs for the Galaxy S II smartphone and Galaxy Tab II. ENGADGET got a sneak peak of the internal documents of Samsung and they shared the specs of both devices.

Lets first talk about the Galaxy S II smart phone that will be coming with a 4.3 inch AMOLED Plus display, having a resolution of 800 x 480. With a 1 GHz dual-core Orion processor, this is a 'pack' providing you with NFC, bluetooth 3.0 and HSPA+ WiFi connectivity (24Mbps). Chances are that Galaxy S II will be thicker than its predecessor (8.49 mm) and most probably, the camera module will give it a final thickness of around 9.9 mm. The storage band (16Gb, 32 Gb, 64 Gb or MAY BE greater than that) is not known as yet.

As far as Galaxy Tab II is concerned, it will definitely be much better than the previous Galaxy Tab. According to the leaked specs this tablet ,that will have honeycomb OS, bares a size of 10.1 inches having a CPU speed of 1 GHz and a screen resolution of 1280 x 800. But the, processor being dual-core or single core, thing is not confirmed as yet.

Hopes are alive and chances are strong that both devices will have the Exynos 4210 processor. Well! nothing really can be done to know except to wait for the coming days when Samsung unveils some more details.

It was yesterday or the day before, that I heard of the NOKIA-MICROSOFT partnership and what I can see now is something that I call, the possible outcome of NOKIA-MICROSOFT collaboration. News are prevailing everywhere about the Nokia's Windows Phone 7 and the concept is public finally. Folks at ENGADGET have got some shots of what they say shall be the first concept phone by Nokia having windows 7 operating system.

It is delight for Nokia lovers as the design of these concept phones is an intermediate to the shapes of N8 and C7 Symbian phone. And the much usual 'Habit' of Nokia to produce phones in more than one colors, is practiced here as well.

Well! As mentioned earlier, this is just a Conceptual device. So, it is pointless to make advance choices and drool, watching these snaps. All we can do is to pray that Nokia-Microsoft marriage stays and the 'Couple' has a happy future. We can hope that the couple soon gets blessed with cute and sexy 'Windows Phone 7'.
