A while back on this blog, we shared a utility named Push Fix to help users with a Jailbroken iPhone to enable Push Notifications on the iPhone instantly. The iPhone Dev team released the PwnageTool 3.1.4 a couple of days ago which allows users on a Mac to Jailbreak and Unlock the iPhone 2G, 3G and the iPhone 3G[S] on Firmware 3.1.2. IPhone Dev Team släppte PwnageTool 3.1.4 ett par dagar sedan, vilket gör att användare på en Mac Jailbreak och låsa upp iPhone 2G, 3G och iPhone 3G [S] på firmware 3.1.2. I haven't been able to post the tutorial due to a busy routine so I am providing the hacktivated firmware for iPhone OS 3.1.2 which will allow any Mac or Windows user to Jailbreak and Unlock their iPhone. The iPhone Dev team has no plans to release and PwnageTool for Windows users and since there also isn't any ETA on the release of Redsnow, so we have created a Custom/Hacktivated IPSW for iPhone 3GS users who want to update to Firmware 3.1 while preserving the baseband. Another important note is to remember that the method only works for those who already have a previously-Jailbroken iPhone 3GS on an old firmware. Its Christmas everywhere for iPhone 3GS users today as the dev team has just released the new version of PwnageTool which will now allow them to update to Firmware 3.1 while preserving the old baseband, which means that users will be able to Jailbreak and even Unlock their iPhone 3GS on Firmware 3.1. PwnageTool 3.1 was released earlier today by the dev team but the fact that it can only be used by Mac users and leaves no ticket for Windows users seems a little unfair, so we made things a little easy for you. Finally! Äntligen! I managed to steal my sister's iPhone 2G and experiment on with unlocking it using the PwnageTool on Firmware 3.1. Jag lyckades stjäla min systers iPhone 2G och experimentera vidare med låsa den med hjälp av PwnageTool på Firmware 3.1.
The unlock method of iPhone 2G is as much same as that of iPhone 3G but more safe, in case you make a flaw you can easily recover and unlock your iPhone again which is not so easy in case of iPhone 3G and specially the new iPhone 3GS. Att låsa upp metoden för iPhone 2G är lika mycket samma som för iPhone 3G, men säkrare, om du gör ett fel kan du enkelt återställa och låsa upp din iPhone igen vilket inte är så lätt när det gäller iPhone 3G och speciellt den nya iPhone 3GS . Follow the steps with open eyes, and trust me you won't even need to ask for help in the comments. Följ stegen med öppna ögon, och tro mig du kommer inte ens behöva be om hjälp i kommentarerna.

After all this wait, the iPhone dev team has finally released the Jailbreaking and unlock tool for the iPhone OS 3.1 firmware, and this is no less than a treat for all iPhone users out there. As instructed by the dev team, since the Apple's update process is a little complex for those on the iPhone 3GS so the current Pwnage Tool 3.1 for Mac OS X will only be able to Jailbreak the iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 1G and hence unlock both the iPhone 2G and 3G using Ultrasnow.
