2 days ago it was reported that YouTube has been banned in Pakistan. This was a bad news for all of the YouTube fans here as they are now not able to upload or watch any of the YouTube videos.

No one knew that the YouTube-Ban which was supposedly meant for all of the users of Pakistan would accidentally result in a 1 hour big downtime of YouTube across the whole globe.

Several sources are reporting that the YouTube downtime caused by Pakistan was the result of a possibly accidental hijack of YouTube IP Space via BGP.

Official word from the Pakistani Government states that YouTube has been banned in Pakistan because it contains "blasphemous content, videos and documents" however that may not only be the reason.
