Well apparently one form of it. Newsweek reported earlier today that Purdue University were investigating a technology that would turn common cell phones into radiation detectors. The aim is to triangulate and identify bomb threats, such as suicidal bombs and nuclear weapons.
The project research team at the university went further ahead to request the Congress to require all cell phone users and telecom operators to implement this technology.

The Google G1 Phone for T-Mobile has finally been unveiled at its official launch event. This latest iPhone killer looks very much like the leaked images and videos showed.
It’ll be available, SIM locked, starting October 22nd for $179 with a two year contract from T-Mobile. Unlimited Internet with some messaging will be available for $25/month and Unlimited Internet and messaging will be for $35/month. Data plans will require voice plans which will be available separately. It’ll be launching in UK early November while in rest of Europe in 2009.

Another recipe of hot new rumors over the Internet suggests that a new Macbook update codenamed the ‘Brick’ might be in works and will officially be unveiled by Apple in mid-October this year.
While some speculate it to be the new Apple Macbook Touch, other have theories that the ‘Brick’ might be a software or even the highly rumored Apple iTablet. However there is no source to confirm either of these theories yet.

Facebook has rolled out its new interface to all Facebook users and a lot of users like me are not loving the new design and layout, probably because its just too confusing and complex to use.
Haris has discovered two good old techniques to get the old Facebook layout back. This will help users switch to the old Facebook design and navigate in the same old-school fashion as before.
