The Tech Link Train

Here comes another new mind blowing blog promotion strategy called The Tech Link Train through the dot com mogul John Chow. I came to know about this when I visited Lyte Byte who has tagged me on this Tech Train.
The basic concept is to offer free blog promotion and develop a full translational non-ending stream of blogs
To Ride the Tech Link Train
trust me you need no ticket
just a tag and you are in:

- Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content string. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra linkback.
- Copy the list of originals below completely and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.
- Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals” list.
- Add no more than 5 new Tech, Science, or Consumer Electronics blogs to the list in the “My Adds” section.

Ah well
I took 4 complete hours to write this post to help my fellow bloggers. I hope it proves itself to be useful. Please add more tips in comment, if you have any in mind.
1 . Parallel Reader Psychology Strategy:
Readers are ‘you’ and You are a reader too. When starting a blog, always adopt a parallel reader psychology strategy i.e. think as a reader yourself. Who are readers? They are people like you who search the internet for articles that interest them. Readers are not people from some other world but one of you so always try to post articles and stories which you think would interest you the most. Posting stuff that dis satisfies your taste can be a huge drawback in building traffic for your blog especially for amateur bloggers. Indeed I am an amateur Blogger myself.

Most of you are already aware of the great Firefox Extension ‘The Adsense Notifier‘ (found at Firefox Extension - Adsense Notifier) which gives you an updated data of your revenue in your Google Adsense account right on your desktop without having to log in again and again using your Firefox Browser.
But most of the publishers would still prefer havin a stand alone application that keeps a track of their revenue and provides detail stats right on the desktop. Moreover no one can deny that using too many extensions with Firefox can decrease its performance a lot too
Thats where SysSense comes to the rescue.
Review:
SysSense is your personal desktop Google AdSense monitor. It keeps your current Google AdSense information in the Windows system tray. You can monitor an unlimited number of Google AdSense accounts. A sound and/or system tray icon balloon can be configured to alert you when your statistics have changed. And its compatible with Microsoft’s new Operating System Windows Vista
Requirements:
- Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista

Finally after a struggle of almost 2 hours to make everything work right and better I have successfully upgraded to Wordpress 2.1.x series without any problems.
First it took me 30 whole minutes to check my older plugins compatibility with the new Wordpress 2.1.x series and download the latest updated version of those plugins from the authors site and thankfully all of those plugins are fully compatible with Wordpress 2.1.x now and are running smoothly except for some odd ones that I shall discuss further.

Sizlopedia.com is already in
Till now, Everyone knows that Google Adsense is testing new ads blending for the Adsense Ad Blocks which includes Ads having images of Google Logo or the ‘G’ logo and other similar things
But recently I came across this new type of Ads by Google Adsense in which they have introduced Italicized links.
First I saw these types of Ads on some forum but today I saw them on my own blog. Here is a preview from how the ads looked like on Sizlopedia
Truly speaking I ‘loved’ this new blending of Ads by Google Adsense and really want it to be a permanent feature in Google ads.
Moreover, making the links italic gives the Ads a unique and appealing look and I really adore it.
One more opinion that Google should consider too is that they should give Publishers the choice to have either bold or italic links but I think this would then eliminate the difference between Premium and Normal Publishers. I just have my fingers crossed for this new Ad blending to be a permanent part of the Google Ad script.
Hope to see new things from Google
Well well well

I have come up with something thats going to make everyone Sizzle and its my new theme called Tigopedia Reloaded.

The Theme which I call ‘Tigopedia Reloaded‘ is basically a highly modified Replica of my former theme Tigopedia which has indeed been appreciated a lot by bloggers.
But this theme marks a whole new generation of sleek Web 2.0 Theme designs.
Support for for both of my wordpress themes Tigopedia and Tigopedia Reloaded will be available all the time.
A million bugs were fixed in Tigopedia Reloaded which shall indeed be rectified in Tigopedia too in its upcoming next release soon
Some of the prime features of the Tigopedia Reloaded theme are:
- Sleek Web 2.0 Design: The design is cool its sleek and it fulfils Web 2.0 Standards with a gloss and sleek look.
- No Database Usage: This theme does not use database except for only two small tables used for the Adsense PUB ID and Recent Posts unlike Tigopedia which uses over 30+ Database Tables.
- Adsense Ready: The theme is Adsense Ready
with some cool blends and an option in the Presentation Menu to add your Adsense PUB ID and get started making Money.
- Adsense Optimized: The theme is Pre Adsense Optimized and is in accordance to the Google Adsense TOS with 3 Code Bars and 1 Link unit on each page.
- SEO Ready Code: The theme has been designed specially for a better SEO providing you with functionalities like the Seo Title Tag Plugin without having installed the plugin itself.
- Curvy Look: The theme uses Curvy borders specially to give it a blended sleek look and a better eye-catching design.
- Swapped Comments: Check out the new Swapped Comments Design and you will notice that now Each comment box has a look similar to alternate comment box and different to the comment box following it.
- Bug Free: The theme is totally bug free as it does not use any functions and simple style.css to access the template sheet.
- Widget Ready: lol This one took me a century to fix but the good thing is that now the theme is fully compatible with Wordpress Widgets for 2.0 and 2.1 series.
- Vaidated XHTML 1.0: The theme is fully XHTML 1.0 compatible with no errors and passes validation.
- Validated CSS: Theme has been Validated by the CSS Validated service by Jigsaw
If you do not trust me have a look at the Footer.
Thats all for now
Lovers of Tigopedia worry not

Trust me it was just some days ago that I was thinking if there was some way to have different email accounts integrate all at one place so It would be easy to handle and manage multiple Email accounts and here my wish takes a form of reality with Google Mail Fetcher the new feature launched by Google Mail
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooogle Rocks
Think about having four to five multiple email accounts and then think about the hassle of managing and fetching mail from each email account. There comes Google to the rescue, with the new Google Mail Fetcher technology Gmail allows you to fetch mail from your other, non-Gmail accounts. You’ll be able to read email from up to 5 additional accounts, all in one place, and take advantage of all of Gmail’s great features.
Here is how to use Google Mail Fetcher effectively :):
- Click Settings from the top of any Gmail page.
- Click Accounts.
- In the Get mail from other accounts section, click Add another mail account.
- Enter the full email address of the account you’d like to access, then click Next Step.
- Gmail will populate the Username and POP Server fields when possible, based on your email address. Enter your Password.
- Decide whether to:
- Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server. If you’ll only be accessing your email through your Gmail account, leave this unchecked. If you’d like to be able to access your mail directly from that account, or if you’re accessing it through any other accounts or devices, click to select this option.
- Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.
- Label incoming messages. If you’d like to automatically label all messages that are retrieved from your non-Gmail account, select this option. You can choose to use the predefined label (your email address), or you can select an existing label or create a new one from the drop-down list.
- Archive incoming messages. Mail from this account can be archived directly, without showing up in your Inbox.
- Click Add Account.
- Once your account has been added successfully, you’ll have the option of setting it as a custom From address. This allows you to compose messages in Gmail, but have them appear to be sent from your other email account. Click Yes to set up a custom From address.
That it
Gmail will check your other accounts on a daily basis and will automatically add new mail to your Gmail account. To Disable Importing go to the Accounts tab of your Settings page and just click delete next to the appropriate email account and you are done
Note: Email accounts you would like to fetch will need to support POP access. Some free email services don’t support POP access at this time
As Google announced recently on the official Google Reader Blog that it will now be providing detailed subscriber count stats for Feed Publishers. The stats will highlight readers that have subscribed to your feeds through Google Reader or Google Personalized Homepage. In short, a mere free Treat for bloggers
like us.
Google also plans to introduce more RSS features that shall boost the Google product economy
The new feature will be useful for Feed Publishers to look at their feed subscribers more dynamically and in a efficient manner. They can seperate the number of feed subscribers who have subscribed through Google Reader or Google Personalized Homepage from other feed subscribers who use other means to fetch the site content.
I must say
it shall give Webmasters and Bloggers a new dimension to look at the way People read their site content and shall help them understand the reader psychology
